Hey everyone. So, in case you haven’t noticed, I don’t post here much, anymore. My job was a fun and different change of pace for like… a month… then by the time Occupy Philly wound down, I was completely over it. So, now I’m spending most of my drawing time doing stuff that has nothing to do with my job. If you’re not already following my main blog, I’d recommend taking a look: http://jonlaing.tumblr.com
As for the piece I’ve just posted, this is the most “Quitter”-ish thing I’ve made in a while. I’m going to keep this blog up and just post stuff that even remotely relates, but it’s not going to be a consistent posting. The real action is over at my main blog.
Peace, Jon.

Doesn’t really fit in here, but I designed it, so you’ll just have to deal. This is what has been eating up all of my drawing time. If you’re in the area, you should come out and show your support. If not, then there’s probably an occupation in a city near you.

Pre-Occupied

So, I don’t have any drawings this week, and I may not have any until next week. The reason being is that I’m putting all of my free time (and some time that isn’t free) into Occupy Philly (the Philadelphia Chapter of Occupy Wall St. which you may have heard of). I’m thinking about posting some of the work I did for that here, but then again, it doesn’t really fit in… maybe on my other blog.

Once the rally begins I hope to do some drawings of it and post them here. Stay tuned, and keep informed.

Week-long Haitus

So, I don’t know if anyone has noticed, but I haven’t posted anything this week. Because of my new job I can afford a much nicer place, so I’ve been moving and packing over the past week. I have plenty of drawings in the queue, just haven’t colored them to show.

Stay tuned.

Getting a little bit of mileage from that art school degree…
This is actually the reason why the last one I posted was so shitty. Sunday afternoon my girlfriend and I came across a sick stray kitten. I was convinced it was dying, so we scooped it up and brought it first to PAWS. We were told there that they couldn’t take an animal without an appointment, so they sent us to Animal Control. Animal Control told us that if we left the kitten there, they would kill it.
So, I was stuck with a kitten that I really didn’t have the resources to take care of. With all the art I do, my apartment is a toxic playground that breeds death to all living things, let alone a sick kitten.
Fortunately, two very good friends of mine were in the market for a friendly, orange-ish kitten, so she went to a very good home. To be frank though, I kind of miss her already.

Okay, so…

I’m thinking about it, and I really hate the last drawing I put up. I totally rushed it and it shows. I’m going to regroup and start kicking up the drawings a notch or two.

Also, in case you haven’t noticed, I’m doing a new drawing every other work day, not every day.

Stay tuned.
